About Us
Family-owned since 2004, ASE-certified, and still run by the technician who bought it.
Our Story
Ray Okonkwo bought this shop in 2004 after fifteen years working in dealerships and chain garages. He'd watched too many customers get sold work they didn't need, quoted one figure and charged another, and left waiting all day for a call that never came.
So Apex was built on the opposite defaults. Every fault gets documented with a photo before it's recommended. Every estimate is written down and honoured. Every repair carries a two-year warranty, because if we're confident enough to charge you for it, we should be confident enough to stand behind it.
Twenty years and twelve thousand vehicles later, most of our work comes from people who were sent here by someone they trust. That's the only marketing strategy we've ever really had.
How We Work
These aren't posters on the wall — they're the operating rules every job here runs by.
Every fault we find gets photographed or filmed and sent to your phone. You see the worn part before you pay to replace it.
If we find extra work mid-job, we stop and call. Your invoice never exceeds what you approved.
We tell you realistically when the car will be ready — and call you the moment that changes, not after.
24 months on parts and labour. Comebacks are free, prioritised, and treated as our problem to solve.
The Team
Four people, an average of fifteen years each on the tools. No rotating cast of subcontractors.

Customer Reviews
Over 900 reviews across Google, Yelp and Facebook — averaging 4.9 out of 5.
“They found the actual cause of my check engine light after two other shops just threw parts at it. Showed me the failed sensor on the bench and explained exactly why it went. Fair price, no upsell.”
“Dropped the car off at 8am for brakes and had it back before lunch. They texted me photos of the worn pads before starting so I could approve it from work. That's how it should be done.”
“Took my daughter's car in expecting a big bill and they told me the noise was just a loose heat shield. Ten-minute fix, no charge. I've sent three coworkers here since.”
“The pre-purchase inspection saved me from a car with frame damage the seller conveniently forgot to mention. Worth every cent of the fee and then some.”
“Honest quote, work finished when promised, and the invoice matched the estimate to the dollar. After years of dealership runaround this is a relief.”
“My A/C had been recharged twice elsewhere and kept failing. These guys actually found the leak, fixed it properly, and it's been cold ever since.”
